Dr Mark Hedberg, DVM, MBA, MRCVS

Born in Oregon, raised in Saudi Arabia, and educated in Budapest, Mark has built a career that never quite followed a straight line. Since graduating as a veterinarian in 2006, he has worked in clinical practice across Saudi Arabia and the UK, owned a veterinary practice, delivered professional education, and moved into medical technology and scientific sales. His clinical experience spans everything from cats to camels to crocodiles.

Along the way, Mark applied the systems-based thinking of clinical medicine to business, developing repeatable yet adaptable commercial processes and practical approaches to problem-solving. Across both careers, a consistent theme has been his belief that knowledge and guidance should be shared, not hoarded. For more than a decade, he has also volunteered in support of veterinarians experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and other personal and professional challenges. This work reflects a longstanding commitment to making support and practical guidance more accessible within the profession.

Through The Systematic Vet, Mark brings together veterinary medicine, business, and communication to help scientists, clinicians, and innovators turn expertise into practical results. His work focuses on making knowledge useful, improving how people communicate, and building systems that help individuals and organizations function at their best.
